DI, Codemart

Michael studied Telematics at the University of Technology, Graz, Austria. After obtaining his degree he worked as a university assistant at the Institute for New Media at Graz University. Following that he did an 8-year stint at various positions at web-based knowledge management specialist Hyperwave, which brought him via Munich to London, where he spent the past 5 years working as Director of Product Marketing. Michael then returned to Vienna, starting a new company "Codemart" with a colleague. Codemart employs a team of specialised Ruby on Rails developers in Romania, and they recently realised projects such as ABT (www.a-better-tomorrow.com), Xing PremiumWorld (www.xing.com/premiumworld) and varius CMS websites (e.g. www.waldzell.org). In 2007 Codemart launched MindMeister, the first truly collaborative online MindMapping application. Michael has co-written various articles about RUby on Rails and has interviewed David Heinemeier Hansson at RailsConf London 2006.
