Michael J. Freedman

Michael J. Freedman is a graduate student in computer science at MIT. His research interests focus on cryptography and computer/network security, especially in the realm of distributed systems. He is a principal researcher of the Free Haven project, and has worked at Zero-Knowledge Systems implementing an electronic cash architecture.

In his spare time, Freedman enjoys climbing, mountaineering, and other outdoor pursuits, much to the concern of family and friends.
