Launch Pad: A Dozen New Companies in One Sitting

Date: Wednesday, October 5th, 2005
Time: 2:45pm - 4:15pm
Location: Franciscan II

One of the strengths of Web 2.0 is the startup--a new company that bursts onto the scene with an innovative and promising new technology or business model. More than sixty such companies petitioned the conference chair for the opportunity to launch their new product onstage at Web 2.0--so many, in fact, that we had to create an entirely new program element to contain them. Of course we couldn't accomodate everyone, but the most interesting of the bunch--thirteen in all--will be featured in this special Launch Pad Workshop, where entrepreneurs will debut their companies or launch new products. The Launch Pad will take place on the first day of the conference and is open to all attendees and press.
