Rahul Lahiri
Ask Jeeves

Rahul Lahiri is the Vice President of Search Product Management at Ask Jeeves Inc. Mr. Lahiri joined Ask Jeeves in 2004 and is primarily responsible for overseeing the next generation of the company’s proprietary algorithmic search technology and its implementation into the Ask Jeeves consumer search product (www.ask.com).

Prior to joining Ask Jeeves, Lahiri spent four years at the Inktomi Corporation, a provider of search and network caching software to enterprise and web portals. During his tenure, Lahiri filled product management roles in the Web Search division and Custom Services department. As Director of Product Management for Search, Lahiri was tasked with defining and validating Inktomi’s expansion into the enterprise search market, and identifying partner and/or acquisition opportunities that would lead to the development of enterprise product solutions.

Lahiri began his career as a systems engineer at Berkeley Process Control, Inc., a provider of advanced technology products for industrial automation. Since then, he has worked in a product development capacity for ICore Technologies, Teracent Corporation, and Efficient Frontier, formerly Everest Technologies. Lahiri received both a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Born in India, Mr. Lahiri currently lives in Belmont, California, with his wife and baby daughter.
