Eric Billingsley
As director of the eBay Research Labs, Eric Billingsley is responsible for driving innovation at one of the most innovative companies in the world. Under Billingsley’s direction, the scientists and engineers working in eBay Research Labs explore what e-commerce will look like 5-10 years from now and define the trends and technologies that will shape its future.

A former nuclear engineer, Billingsley who began his career at eBay in 2002, was integral in the creation of the eBay search engine, a truly enabling technology for the company. He has also contributed new technologies to eBay in the areas of security, monitoring, and trust and safety applications.
