Session

Placelessness and the Advance of Micropublishing

Alex Faaborg, Mozilla Corporation

Track: Design and User Experience
Date: Monday, April 16
Time: 11:15am - 12:05pm
Location: 2003

Publishing to the Web has changed dramatically. In Web 2.0, information is broken up into small, redistributable units that can be easily copied, pasted, acted-upon and harvested. New, microformat-aware Web browsers could change the way that users interact with information they have found online. This session will cover new trends in how content can be published, repackaged and syndicated, as well as some of the potential use cases that could be supported by microformat-aware Web browsers.
