CEO, Rivida

Michael A. Jones has been in the computer industry since the early 1970’s. For the majority of that time Michael was founder and principal in a number of companies including those involved in consulting, software package development and service bureau work. He is now the founder and principal of Rivida, a five year old software services company based in Western Washington. With this industry experience and technical knowledge and breadth, Michael also serves as the CTO for a number of companies while staying abreast of emerging technologies.

With his extensive background in technology, software development, project management and organizational management, Michael has the expertise and experience to understand the needs of technology and non-technology companies alike. He also understands the skills necessary to be successful in key roles in a company. At times, Michael is called upon by the founders and leaders of local companies to assist them with long-range strategies and development of technological vision and direction as well as development of the management team. This has allowed him the opportunity to maintain his extensive contacts in the computer and communications industries. Michael focuses his efforts on executive management for emerging companies.

Michael received his formal education at New Mexico State University followed by service in the Air Force. Over the years he has been certified by many companies and organizations including being a charter member of the Association for Systems Management. Michael and his wife Cami reside in Kirkland, Washington. They have 3 adult daughters and 3 grandsons.
