Marc Siry

Marc Siry joined >nbbc as the Vice President of Product Management & Design in June of 2006. In this role, Siry leads the design and product specifications for >nbbc's digital video syndication marketplace, which is a B2B service that empowers advertisers, content creators, and publishers to access, monetize, and distribute digital video.
Prior to joining NBC, Siry served as the Director of Experience Strategy for America Online. At AOL, Siry founded and led the team dedicated to building advanced consumer facing video experiences. Under Siry's direction, this team built the video experiences that helped the Live 8 broadcast win the first Daytime Emmy ever awarded in the new nontraditional broadband delivery platform category. The team also developed the live multi-camera streaming coverage of the first post-Columbia disaster Space Shuttle launch.
Previous to AOL, Siry served as the Creative Director for the Fox Family Channel and Fox Kids web sites, where his team created award winning sponsored games for advertisers. Prior to Fox, Siry worked in Mattel Inc.'s Smart Toy Lab as a project designer for a series of interactive toys with heavy technology and connectivity components based on the Barbie, Hot Wheels, and IntelPlay brands.
Earlier accomplishments include co-founding Electric Crayon, one of the first computer graphics companies to serve the comic book industry; helping to launch Tomorrow's Morning, a national children's newspaper; and co-founding Mad Science Media, an independent studio that produced interactive projects for Disney, United Media, Nike, and others. Siry also co-founded the LABiker online motorcycle enthusiasts group, one of the earliest theme-specific social networks on the Web.
Siry began his career in traditional media, including a stint as a comic book artist, illustrating and coloring for Marvel Comics in New York City. He currently shares a Manhattan apartment with his animal trainer fiancée and her stable of four-legged students.
