| Christoper C. Couper IBM Academy of Technology http://www.ibm.com Chris Couper is an IBM distinguished engineer and leads the overall technical strategy for IBM’s Pervasive/Wireless e-business unit. Throughout 22 years with IBM in systems engineering, product development, consulting and services, he has designed and deployed solutions for a wide range of customers in transportation, communications, healthcare, public safety and health, and state government. As an IBM senior certified IT architect, Couper gained extensive experience in wireless and mobile communications systems and solutions. He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and the IBM Americas Information Technology Architect Board. In addition to his IBM responsibilities, Couper is an assistant chief of the Latrobe Fire Protection District in California and a board member of the Center for Telecom Management, Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Couper earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in physics from the University of California, Davis and has participated in many technical and executive development programs at IBM. He has previously spoken at the Wireless Internet Institute, WINMEC, WIMAX, CTIA Wireless Entertainment and IT, the Enterprise Architect Summit and the International Conference on Robotics and Automation. |
