The Opening of Map Data

Last year Yahoo! announced that it was giving Open Street Map access to its mapping data. This talk will focus on what Yahoo! has done working with OSM on traditional map data as well as Yahoo!'s efforts to have users contribute/enhance/edit location information (businesses, landmarks, areas) to better annotate the real world online. It will include case studies from Yahoo!, OSM, and the Internet as a whole.
