Raffi Krikorian makes a career of hacking everything and anything. During his stints as a MIT student he developed a Java-based distributed/mobile software agent infrastructure while also investigating human perception of sound in zero-g with NASA. He finished off by studying and building tiny, embedded, and sub-$5 Internet nodes and by teaching students "How To Make (Almost) Anything". In his scarce free time, he justified his television addition by writing "TiVo Hacks", the first book on hacking into, understanding, and extending the Linux-based PVR. Currently, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Communications at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program where he researches and lectures on digital ethics and responsibility, and he is also the founding partner at Synthesis Studios, a technological design and consulting firm that orchestrates this disjointed train of thought -- there Raffi manages projects involving mobile devices to data aggregation to interactive emergent media.
