Great article on SAS : Serial Attached SCSI -- Great article explaining SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) here: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/04/07/going_the_sas_storage_way/index.html Don't do the usual Tom's Hardware thing where to click straight to the benchmarks and conclusion. In this article, the first few pages are a great introduction to SAS and included some history about SATA and SCSI that I never knew as well. Bookmark for when you have some quiet-time to read.

Highlights of the WS-Eventing Specification -- After reading Savas' and Jim Webber's blog entries on the latest release of WS-Eventing I decided to have a read.

ETech Day 4: One of these is not like the other -- Meridith Patterson's presentation on her Query By Example extension for Postgres showed how to make Postgres support advanced features for selecting and ranking data according to a given example. And even selecting and ranking data that is unlike a given example.

ETech Makers Faire: Seeing The Light -- As the year before, ETech featured a night of Makers exhibiting their fascinating, fun and warranty voiding work for attendees.
