Published RMI examples demonstrate many of the interesting capabilities of RMI, but don't cover issues specific to larger systems. This session will delve into the issues facing larger systems based around RMI. It cover the tradeoffs between remote interfaces and serialization, techniques for maintaining coordinated state, and responsibility patterns, including client/server and equal peer systems.
