March 26-29, 2001

Java
Building Distributed Systems with Brazil
Speaker: Rob Englander
Track: Leading Edge
Date: 03/29/2001
Time: 11:30am - 12:15pm

Brazil Technology can be used as a low level framework that lends itself well to the development of component based distributed systems. This session will look at a Brazil based framework that uses a visual modeling approach to the development of distributed systems. We'll look at the way the abstractions of the visual modeling are manifested in Brazil configurations and handler chains. We'll talk about the way in which multiple Brazil nodes can be loosely associated in such a scheme as well as the dynamic reconfiguration of the system. We'll also look at the way in which other technologies such as JMS, XML, and RMI can be incorporated.
