Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility invites members and non-members to talk about the social challenges involving computer technology today. These include:
JXTA will hold a community meeting Tuesday May 14, 2002 at 7 PM at the Westin Santa Clara, in conjunction with the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference. Project JXTA started as a research project at Sun to address the peer-to-peer space. JXTA is a set of open, generalized peer-to-peer protocols that allow any connected device (cell phone, to PDA, PC to server) on the network to communicate and collaborate.
