One of the most exciting things about our conferences is the opportunity for people to meet and share ideas and knowledge face to face in fun and entertaining forums. Join us for these lively evening events.
Tuesday Evening, 8:00-9:30pm, Santa Clara Ballroom
David Pogue takes video lovers on a hilarious, real-time crash course based on his book. Audience members will become cast members as Pogue shoots, edits, and produces a four-minute film with dialogue, action, music, and effects-live. He'll also focus on techniques that separate amateur work from polished, professional efforts.
Wednesday Evening, 6:30-7:30pm, O'Reilly Bookstore
Grab a cold beer or soda and come to the O'Reilly bookstore to meet O'Reilly authors attending the conference. It's a great time to get a book signed and chat with your favorite authors. Attending authors include: Tim O'Reilly, Chuck Toporek, Rob Flickenger, Rael Dornfest, James Duncan Davidson, David Pogue, and many more.
Wednesday Evening, 8:00-10:00pm, Santa Clara Ballroom
Join David Mash, Apple Master and VP of Instructional Technology at Berklee College of Music, as he demonstrates the latest music software running on Mac OS X and discusses the benefits that Mac OS X provides for music and audio. David composes and performs in real time, and will happily take questions. Bring your CDs of samples, your musical instruments, and jam. Representatives from Apple Computer and music software companies Emagic and BIAS will also be on hand to demonstrate their software and answer questions.
